Switzerland

One of our destinations is the breathtaking country: Switzerland. An undiscovered gem in Europe. Magnificent Switzerland takes the nature photographers on a 7-day trip through the most beautiful and stunning views Switzerland has to offer. Are you curious about what you’ll be seeing on the trip? Then check this out!

Oost–Zwitserland / Liechtenstein, Zomer, Berg, Natuurpark/reservaat, Weide, Woud

Thal Nature Park

Our first destination is Thal Nature Park. This park is located between Zurich, Berne, and Basil. That means that it’s Switzerland’s most central nature reserve. It has two big touristic attractions: the wide valley of the river Dünnern behind the mountain the Weissenstein and the local mountain to Solothurn. It has also a rich history since it was used for its natural resources such as iron ore, wood, and water. An ideal location to practice your nature photography skills.

Golden Pass

The second experience we’ll get is the Golden Pass a scenic trip you have to put on your bucket list. The entire route takes about 5,5 hours and it goes from Lucerne to Montreux or the other way round. The route has three sections with three different trains: from Lucerne to Interlaken Ost, Interlaken Ost to Zweisimmen and Zweisimmen to Montreux. Each season has its benefits and offers some gorgeous views. In winter you can see snow and in summer you can see the lakes shimmer very beautifully. Each season is a different experience, so if you want to get them all, you should take this train at least once each season.

Parc Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut

Our second national park and third destination is Parc Natural Réfional Gruyère Pays-d’enhaut. This park covers an area of 503 km and it includes thirtien municipalities in four regions. What’s speial about the park is that it has a rural identity and a diverse landscape. So besides cliffs, valleys and forests there are also mountain meadows and alpine pastures. There are a lot of different species that live in the park. One of the reasons for this is that alpine farming and agriculture still play an important role here. Especially their home-made Swiss cheese. So there’s a lot to see and a lot to discover in this park. There will also be the opportunity to photograph animals in their natural habitat.

Geneva

And last but not least we’ll visit the beautiful city of Geneva. The biggest tourist attraction in this city is the lake of Geneva. This is also the location where we’ll practice reflection photography, but there’s also time to visit the city. You can stroll around in the peaceful streets or get your cultural fix by visiting the Geneva Opera House, Saint Peter’s Cathedral, or one of the many museums. Geneva is the ideal city to enjoy the last day of the trip because of its idyllic atmosphere. A small city between Alpine peaks and vineyards by the largest lake of Western Europe.
